What people always say you should do. Is it true?

People always say that you should buy a home because your payment will never go up if you’re locked in a 30-year fixed.

Well, that’s true to a certain extent but what most people are forgetting is that every year property taxes and insurance go up.

Which in turn makes your monthly mortgage payment higher.

What I tell my past clients every year make sure to check insurance coverage so that they are not overpaying. And if property taxes have increased substantially, check with the county to see if you could get your property taxes adjusted to actual home values in the area.
